English Training in Arbitration is Over

Tbilisi State University National Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution (NCADR) in collaboration with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), South Texas College of Law (STCL), East West Management Institute (EWMI) and it’s program The Judicial Independence and Legal Empowerment Project (JILEP) on 16-18 September organized the Training in Arbitration with the supervision of South Texas College of Law professor Catherine Greene Burnett and Houston University Professor Tasha Willis. The training was held in the 1st Academic building of Tbilisi State University.
The course was focused on practitioners and professors. The training covered the following topics: Key international arbitration concepts, role of arbitration in international business transactions, types of international arbitration, institutions, arbitration laws, advising the commercial client, drafting an arbitration provision, spotting the defects, pre-arbitration considerations. The proceeding, the arbitral awards, etc.
31 participants attended the training. After the completion of the training 26 participants received relevant certificates. Electronic materials were sent to all participants of the training.
All participants highly ranked the professionalism of experts and the quality of the training in the evaluation forms and certified their readiness to participate in advance training of arbitration planned to be organized in October, 2013.
