Conference in Mediation and Arbitration is over

Tbilisi State University National Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution (NCADR) in collaboration with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), South Texas College of Law (STCL), East West Management Institute (EWMI), program of the Judicial Independence and Legal Empowerment Project (JILEP), Georgian Bar Association (GBA) on June 9-10, 2014 organized an accredited international Conference on the topic: ,,Mediation and Arbitration – National and Global Challenges”
Speakers of the international conference were Georgian and foreign experts in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution: James Alfini (USA, South Texas College of Law), Michael Tsur (Israel, professor of the Hamline University), Ales Zalar (European Center of Dispute Resolution), Sophio Tkemaladze (East West Management Institute, program of the Judicial Independence and Legal Empowerment Project), Levan Janashia (Chairman of the Tbilisi Arbitration Institute, National Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution), Lasha Nodia (Georgian Association for Arbitrators - GAA), Boris Janjalia (International Finance Corporation), Irakli Kandashvili (Georgian Bar Association), Davit Okroshidze (Notary Chamber of Georgia), Davit Asatiani (Georgian Bar Association), Ketevan Abashidze (Georgian Bar Association, accredited Mediator of the British Center for Effective Dispute Resolution) Ucha Todua (Court of Appeals of Tbilisi), Irakli Adeishvili (Court of Appeals of Tbilisi), Moris Shalikashvili (Tbilisi State University, Faculty of Law), Paata Kopaleishvili (International Arbitration Under Chamber of Commerce-Industry of Ajara A.R)
Attendees of the conference were representatives from Ministry of Justice of Georgia, Georgian Bar Association, Georgian Association for Arbitrators , Notary Chamber of Georgia and universities - totally 144 attendees.
